Red FM

Cork's RedFM is an Irish commercial radio station broadcasting to Cork city and county. It commenced broadcasting on 16 January 2002 under Ireland's first youth radio licence, with a target audience of 15-35 year olds.
The station was operated by Siteridge Limited. Thomas Crosbie Holdings (TCH) — publisher of the Irish Examiner and one of Ireland's largest regional media groups — held a 35% stake at the time it entered receivership in March 2013. TCH's media assets, including its Red FM shareholding, were acquired by Landmark Media Investments, a new vehicle established by members of the Crosbie family. The Irish Times Group acquired Landmark in July 2018 and thereby inherited a 17.5% stake in the station.
On 1 March 2023, Bauer Media Audio Holding GmbH completed its acquisition of Siteridge Limited following CCPC clearance in December 2022 (M/22/059). Red FM is now operated as part of Bauer Media Audio Ireland LP, alongside Today FM, Newstalk, 98FM, SPIN 1038, SPIN Southwest, iRadio and Sunshine 106.8. In early 2024 the station adopted a new tagline, "Cork's Good Times", aligning with Bauer's network branding.

| Meta Data | Audience Share taken from the 2023 Joint National Listenership Research Survey, looking at “yesterday listenership” of 15+ population. Because Red FM is a regional station, this percentage reflects only the Cork area. The website footer correctly attributes the site to Bauer Media Audio Ireland LP (Reg #LP3374), reflecting the current operating entity. Some body content (e.g., terms and conditions) has not been updated post-acquisition and still references the station's pre-acquisition (Siteridge Limited) operating entity. | |
