Roman Shortall

Though self-described as an “investigative journalist” on his Linkedin Profile, in the decade prior to the establishment of TheDitch.ie, Roman Shortall appears to have worked mainly as a freelance legal executive. He has a Certificate in Business Studies with Law from the UK-based Institute for Commercial Management and completed a Bachelor of Laws at Griffith College Dublin in June 2021.

It appears that he initially took on TheDitch.ie as an employee of Paddy Cosgrave’s Web Summit organisation. Since working on the news outlet, he has undertaken some training with the well-regarded Centre for Investigative Journalism based at Goldsmiths University.
